Radical Faerie Portraits closing reception

  • June 19, 2019

Join us for the closing reception for Radical Faerie Portraits, Saturday, June 29, 2019, 4–6pm.

At 6pm, the Gay Liberation NOW! March (organized by The Buffalo-Niagara LGBTQ History Project) will stop at El Museo for a mini concert by local female-fronted punk band Velvet Bethany. In addition to a couple of their own songs, Velvet Bethany will perform their cover of Madeline Davis’ “Stonewall Nation,” the first Gay Liberation anthem, which appeared on the first Gay Liberation Album, written and released in Buffalo in 1971.
