Reflections: A side-by-side exhibition

  • February 28, 2016

El Museo is pleased to present Reflections, a side-by-side exhibition showcasing the work of twenty-three Buffalo Public School art teachers with creations by their own students and children. Featuring an impressive spread of almost a hundred works in various media, this exhibition reflects on the special role of the artist as teacher, offering a glance at the continuous transmission of artistic knowledge and expression.

Join us as we celebrate the creativity and dedication of our educators, as reflected in the budding artistry of a new generation. Prizes will be presented in three categories, Youth (4–12), Teens (13–20), and Adults (21+), at an awards reception on Friday, March 11, from 5 to 7.30pm. Guest jurors: Kenny León Andino, Gerald Mead, Phyllis Thompson

“Extra Credit” invites all exhibitors (teachers, students, children) to participate in a collective art project on Saturday, April 9 at 2pm. More details to be announced soon!
